Interpreting Services

Interpreters bridge cultural barriers to ensure the best care for children. Read more.

As patients and families, you have the right to have complete information regarding diagnosis, prognosis and treatment in a language you understand. We strive to provide our services in the languages of our patients and families.

Services include:

  • In-person Spanish language interpreting from 7 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week.
  • Interpreting for all other languages, including Polish, Arabic, Chinese, Bosnian/Croatian, Russian, Serbian and Vietnamese to be scheduled in advance of an appointment with external agencies.
  • Phone-based interpretation is available at all times for all languages.
  • Locating community and hospital resources, such as support groups or educational materials about child development.

Sign-language interpreters

In-person and video remote sign-language interpreters may be scheduled in advance but can also be reached for emergency needs by contacting the manager of Interpreting Services (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or the administrative coordinator during all other hours.
