Faculty, resident, social work and pediatric nurse practitioner education

The hospital is committed to educating pediatricians and other child-care professionals on the importance of child advocacy. To further this goal we support a variety of programs:

  • Community medicine and child advocacy (CMCA) rotation for Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine second-year pediatric residents
  • Support for pediatric resident electives in advocacy
  • Support for pediatric resident senior projects in advocacy
  • Project DOCC (Delivery of Chronic Care) for first year pediatric residents
  • Lectures to Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine child psychiatry and psychology residents on child advocacy
  • Lectures to Children's Memorial Hospital pediatric nurse-practitioners
  • Lectures to Children's Memorial social work interns
  • Support for community-based field training opportunities
