Managing pain
As a parent, you can best recognize when your child is in pain. We rely on you to help us know about your child's pain and how well we are treating it.
It is important to know your child may experience pain. The doctors and nurses caring for your child will help relieve that pain by prescribing a pain medicine, or give advice on medications available at drug stores. Child Life Specialists also help you and your child cope with pain.
We believe all patients should be given the best level of pain relief that safely can be provided. Medication and/or other pain management techniques should be used to keep pain away and stop pain before it gets worse.
Please call your doctor's office or the location of the procedure if you need assistance in relieving your child's pain.
