Patient dropoff
|
The driveway, which will be accessed from Chicago Avenue between the new hospital and Prentice Women's Hospital, will lead patient families and visitors to the parking garage bounded by Superior, Huron and St. Clair.

Ambulance entrance/exit
|
Ambulances will access the Emergency Department from Chicago Avenue on the west side of the hospital, just east of the American Dental Association.

Building area/height
|
The total building area is 1.25 million square feet. The new hospital will be 23 stories, 385 feet high plus a mechanical penthouse.

Size of the site
|
Approximately 1.8 acres. The projected footprint is 60,000 square feet.

Loading dock
|
An enclosed off-street loading dock will be on the first floor of the hospital, accessible from the alley off Superior Street between the new hospital and the Affinia Hotel. |
