Five-year-old Jack Czapla was disappointed. One day after undergoing an injection at Children's with one of the chemotherapy drugs he takes in his fight against acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL), his nurse put on a plain Band-Aid® instead of one of the adhesive bandages picturing popular cartoon characters that he usually received. The nurse explained that they were out of "fun" Band-Aids®, which are typically donated to the hospital.
So, Jack decided to do something about it.
