Cancer survivor leads construction workers in stretching exercises

October 30, 2009 - Drew Perschon, 3 1/2, a cancer survivor recently led approximately 300 construction workers in stretching exercises on the site of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, opening in 2012. Among the construction workers was Drew's grandfather, Denis Criner, a sheet metal foreman for the project.
Drew underwent successful stem cell transplantation for neuroblastoma at Children's Memorial in 2008.
