Hospital caregivers to receive the H1N1 vaccine first

October 6, 2009 - In this USA Today front page story, Children's Memorial Hospital's emergency room physician Mark Adler is photographed receiving the H1N1 nasal spray vaccine. The hospital is distributing the first shipment of the vaccine to its health care workers. The Chicago Department of Public Health has prioritized health care workers with direct patient care to receive the H1N1 vaccine first. Parents are being encouraged to contact their family doctor regarding the vaccine.
