Community-wide forum
In 1999, Children's Memorial Hospital formed a community-wide forum to expand the focus of the Community Relations program to address issues that impact the entire Lincoln Park community.
Forum mission
The mission of the forum is to leverage the considerable resources of the Lincoln Park community towards improving the quality of life in our neighborhood.
Forum membership
Forum membership is open to the entire Lincoln Park community. The forum's membership currently includes representatives from Children's Memorial, local community organizations, institutions, social service agencies, government institutions, churches and synagogues, businesses and neighborhood volunteers.

Forum projects
In 1999, a group of community leaders determined that the first project of the community-wide forum would focus on improving the educational experience for students at Lincoln Park High School. To this end, five subcommittees were launched, each with its own goals and objectives. To read more, click here.
In the summer of 2002, the forum started a second project. A steering committee developed the new project goal — to connect the Lincoln Park community through a social service and community service Web-site, www.lincolnparkconnect.com. To learn more, click here.
During 2004, the forum started a third project. The goal of this project was to increase community involvement and investment in the well-being of Lincoln Park through the promotion of child-focused education and activities. This goal was met through a series of family-friendly events that will be held at local schools. Several Lincoln Park institutions and organizations generously offered their expertise to help create these events. To learn more, click here.
Beginning in 2009, the forum started planning it's next project-Living Green in Lincoln Park. The goal of this project is to provide education and raise awareness centered on the new four Rs; Rethink, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, through a four-series speakers’ forum to occur throughout 2010 in Lincoln Park. The speakers’ forum information will be reinforced through an online reference guide and engagement by the community in activities that raise awareness of the project and green resources.
