Immunization requirements

Because we are dedicated to protecting the health and well-being of all children, we require that all candidates and staff are current with all required immunization records. These specific requirements MUST be met prior to being hired at Children's Memorial Hospital.

Immunizations required:

• Varicella (chicken pox) history or varicella vaccine (2 doses)
• Measles/mumps/rubella vaccine (MMR, 2 doses) or a titer report of immunity to measles, mumps and rubella accepted in lieu of immunizations.
• Last tetanus or booster (if known)
• Negative TB test (Mantoux ppd only): If within 90 days no further test needed. If more than 90 days, 2-step testing required.
• Negative chest x-ray within past year (required for a past positive TB skin test)

*Documentation of regular annual testing with Mantoux ppd for at least two years will meet the above requirement for the TB Test.
