The Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology provides medical and surgical treatment for children with disorders of the head and neck, particularly the ears, nose and throat.

A world leader in cochlear implants

Having performed more than 1,000 implantations since 1991, our Cochlear Implant Program has grown to be one of the largest pediatric implant programs in the world. Conditions we treat

Pediatric specialists treat tonsil and adenoid problems, such as recurrent sore throats and breathing obstruction during sleep, ear infections, hearing loss, tumors of the ear, nose, throat, and neck and recurrent sinusitis.

Pediatric surgeons also specialize in laryngology, bronchial esophogology. These doctors treat breathing and swallowing disorders as well as congenital or acquired problems of the larynx, trachea, bronchi, and esophagus. They also treat children with recurrent croup, cough, pneumonia, stridor, hoarseness, and other voice problems. They can provide carbon dioxide laser therapy for appropriate airway problems as well as foreign body removal.

Pediatric specialists in otology/neurotology diagnose and manage ear-related problems including congenital and acquired hearing loss, cholesteatoma, tympanic membrane perforations, otosclerosis, congenital aural atresia, and facial nerve imbalance disorders.
