The Northwestern Pediatric and Adolescent Neurovascular Disease and Stroke Program is a unique partnership of the neurosurgery programs at Northwestern Memorial and Children's Memorial hospitals. The program is designed to provide comprehensive treatments and services in all areas of neurovascular care for patients ranging in age from infancy through adulthood.
By combining the talents of the pediatric-trained neurosurgeons at Children's Memorial with the in-depth experience of the cerebrovascular surgeons at Northwestern Memorial, the program offers high-caliber care at all stages of life.

Our multidisciplinary team investigates and delivers new technologies, drugs, techniques and devices, to treat and manage all aspects of neurovascular disease. It is our mission to meet the needs of our young patients from the very beginning of diagnosis all the way through treatment, rehabilitation and finally to the full responsibilities of adulthood with maximum capabilities. All of which translates into providing the best patient care.
At Children's Memorial the program is directed by attending neurosurgeon Arthur DiPatri, MD; each child's diagnosis, treatment and followup take place in an environment especially designed for children of all ages and their families. The entire hospital staff — from the medical professionals, therapists, laboratory technologists to the dieticians who provide meal services — is focused on making the experience at the hospital and the outpatient centers one that meets families needs.
