Transitioning and diabetes study
The goal of the study is to better understand how to help teens and young adults find great diabetes teams when they are ready to move from a pediatric to an adult care program.
Who is eligible?
- People ages 15 – 24 with Type 1 diabetes for at least one year.
- Parents must be willing to participate, too.
- Participants must be fluent in English.
What would we do if we agree to participate in the study?
- Read and sign the consent forms showing you understand the study.
- Spend between 25 and 45 minutes completing questionnaires on a private and secured website.
- You can access the website from any computer you want to use – at home, in the library, etc.
Will I be compensated for my time?
- You will be invited to sign up for a raffle for Target gift certificates. First prize is $500, second prize is $300, third is $200 and fourth is $100.
