Get active! Don't let your kids be couch potatoes

  • Limit television/computer time to no more than 1 - 2 hours each day.
  • Your child needs daily activity. Encourage physical activity every day for at least 30 minutes. The whole family needs to participate.
  • Encourage your child to participate in physical activities at school.
  • Encourage your child to join teams like basketball, softball, soccer, bowling, etc.
  • Get involved with community recreation centers, summer programs and camps.
  • Be physically active with your child whenever you can.
